Dunkeld Fine Foods

Dunkeld Fine Foods started life out as a traditional smokehouse sitting close to the banks of the finest salmon river in Scotland, the River Tay. The patient process of small-batch smoking and hand finishing has been maintained using the same traditions for decades. Over the years, the shop has engaged with a variety of local fine food producers. The team are involved in a number of projects supporting the revival of the rural community. Fine Scottish produce is showcased in this store in the ancient village of Dunkeld. Choose to include items or build a hamper from a massive variety of foods and condiments. Individually sculpted chocolates, jams from Perthshire and hand-baked products from craft ovens. The jewel in the crown is the Scottish salmon smoked in their own smokehouse. Cured by hand in very small batches in a traditional way.

The age of distance buying has been unbalanced in the negative effect on local shops and small producers. Teals Prairie finds and selects local small batch producers and traditional shops (who still wish Amazon was just a river). We offer their products and crafts to build into gift packages.
